Home, to the Garden
My garden is my haven
My mind splattered in dirt
Twining in intricate trellises
That tangle and cross
A boom of life squeezed into a tiny space
Complexity and impossibility
That folds in over itself
But somehow thrives with life
Then, to finally fade
By the bite of cold
Or, more often, a lack of air
Strangling itself to death
The "One Day" Dream
The “One Day” Dream is a video that explores the sense of being stuck in place, but having visions of something younger, brighter and better, some day. Of course, this day will be one day in the future, which may or may not ever come. This can be seen from many perspectives representing feelings ranging from hope to darkness and even psychological despair. Perhaps it is the lie that we tell ourselves to get through our day, or maybe it is the place we know we will be soon. Ultimately, this work represents a dream of escape from the “right now.”
